Saving Napkins
WGarth Callaghan
Paper napkins are disposable, meant to be thrown in the trash after being used. They are relatively worthless. But once they've been touched with a pen, they become priceless.
We are often asked if we save Emma's napkins. I wish we could. I try. But frankly, most of them are biohazards by the time they return home. They fall victim to their original purpose, soaking in salad dressing, peanut butter, cheese doodle dust...
It seems as if I've been taking pictures of Emma's napkins forever. I wish I had started earlier.
